As Florida’s winter chill sets in, Coral Springs prepares for cooler temperatures

Coral Springs, Florida – Residents of Coral Springs who have relatives and friends in the northeast and mid-Atlantic states may hear about blizzard-like weather, but they will be enduring South Florida’s version of winter at home.

In the upcoming days, the National Weather Service predicts that low morning temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and mid-50s.

Forecasters expect that temperatures will fall to the low 50s tonight after reaching a high of the upper 70s on Monday.

The weather service predicts that Tuesday’s high will only be 65 degrees.

Overnight lows will drop into the lower 50s, and highs will struggle to rise above the low 70s through Friday.

With the exception of Wednesday, when experts predict generally gloomy conditions, the sun will be out for the most part of the day.

Today, the wind is expected to blow from the south at nine to fourteen miles per hour, with gusts reaching twenty-five miles per hour.

Overnight, those winds will change direction, coming from the southwest and then the northwest at nine to eleven miles per hour after midnight. According to the meteorological service, gusts might reach 23 mph.

For the remainder of the week, the winds will primarily come from the north and northwest.
