Coral Springs, Florida – As part of a nationwide effort to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the community, the Coral Springs Police Department is getting ready to host an event this weekend.
This Sunday, October 13, the Coral Springs Police Department is having a community barbecue as a part of Faith & Blue Weekend, a nationwide celebration that fosters relationships between police enforcement and the public.
Faith & Blue BBQ, which is free to attend, will take place at Parkridge Church, 5600 Coral Ridge Drive, from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The day will start at 10:30 a.m. with a church service and end at 11:30 a.m. with a meeting opportunity with members of our K9 Unit, Motors Unit, SWAT Team, and other units.
There will be family-friendly entertainment for the kids as well as refreshments available.
In the end, Faith & Blue Weekend seeks to advance justice and public safety by strengthening the bonds of trust and understanding between the community and law enforcement.
