CORAL SPRINGS, FL – If you drive on West Atlantic Boulevard near Cypress Run Marketplace in Coral Springs, be prepared for traffic lane closures for months to come.
Construction is expected to begin Monday on the twin bridges on West Atlantic Boulevard just east of Coral Springs Drive – an eight-month project that will require up to two lanes of traffic to be closed, from time to time, between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the busy street, according to the City of Coral Springs.
Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will perform the bridge improvements on the county-owned bridges over the West Outfall Drainage Canal.
According to the city’s website, the construction will reinforce the bridge deck, upgrade bridge approach guardrail and railing, install new bridge joints, and make other improvements.
The costs of the construction were not available on the city website.
