Coral Springs, Florida – On Tuesday night, fire crews from across the region were working to burn off a gas leak from a large propane tank in the Coral Springs residential neighborhood of Glen Walk.
According to Mike Moser, deputy chief and spokesman for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, it wasn’t immediately known what caused the leak in the 18000 block of SW 1st Street around 5 p.m.
At least five homes were evacuated, he said.
According to Moser, helping Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department burn off the gas were hazardous material teams from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, Sunrise Fire-Rescue Department, and Broward Sheriff’s Office.
