Following Hurricane Fiona, South Florida offers aid to Puerto Rico

South Florida, Florida – Following Hurricane Fiona, South Florida is still helping Puerto Rico.

Miami-Dade County and Global Empowerment Mission are working together to collect donations for the relief effort.

Donations of goods and money are welcome to help individuals impacted by the hurricane.

The county has three drop-off stations set up to receive these gifts.

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava of Miami-Dade County is urging the locals to band together in support of Puerto Rico.

“We know that the difficulty and suffering in these hurricanes can unleash devastation, and I know that we will come together to support all of those who are most in need, so I ask and encourage all of our residents to please give what you can,” she said.

From this Friday through October, donations can be dropped off.
