Gourmet Italian ice flavors available at Uncle Louie G’s new location in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – Andrea Mormile and her sister Denise searched for an Italian ice restaurant similar to the ones they had frequented in their hometown of Brooklyn, New York, after relocating to the Coral Springs area in 2020.

“We didn’t find one here that we loved,” Andrea said, “and we looked all over the place.”

In Coral Springs, the sisters made the decision to launch a new gourmet Italian ice and ice cream shop.
Uncle Louie G’s, located at 9866 Sample Road, a short distance from Wings Plus, opened its doors last week.

“We wanted to offer the closest thing to our favorite stores in New York,” Denise said. “Uncle Louie G’s was in our neighborhood and it was so good and popular.”

The Mormile family will run the store for three generations.

“Our whole family is involved, and we will all work and make this successful,” Andrea said.

In addition to 33 varieties of ice cream and 47 varieties of Italian ice, Uncle Louie G’s menu offers ice cream cakes, milkshakes, smoothies, ice coffees, Belgian waffle sundaes, and chocolate lava explosions.
Additionally, there are dairy-free, sugar-free, and vegan versions.

Inspired by “Louie G,” who served homemade Italian ices and ice cream on his doorstep to fight the summer heat, Uncle Louie G’s is a chain of restaurants with over 40 franchisees spread across eight states. The chain was founded in Brooklyn.

Andrea claimed that throughout their time in Brooklyn, her family frequently went to Uncle Louie G’s.

“We were always happy when we went there,” she said. “Now we’ll make people happy here in Coral Springs.”
