Coral Springs, Florida – A committed employee’s fast thinking and observance saved the life of a Pomeranian called Beso during a routine visit to Scenthound in Coral Springs.
Beso’s owner, Alicia Raskiewicz, sent her and her two brothers, El Rey and Lil Baby, to Scenthound for routine grooming and a health examination.
Nami, a scent technician, performed a standard head-to-tail health examination, called a scent check, during the visit. Nami observed an odd alteration in Beso’s private area during this checkup that wasn’t there at the appointment the month before.
Nami acted swiftly, taking pictures of her discoveries and texting Raskiewicz right once.
The next day, Raskiewicz took Beso to the vet out of concern.
Beso was diagnosed with pyometra, a serious and potentially lethal uterine infection, at the veterinarian’s office. If left untreated, the bacterial invasion-caused illness might culminate in organ failure and systemic infection.
Thankfully, Beso was admitted by the veterinarian for urgent surgery to remove the diseased uterus.
Following a successful procedure, Beso was quickly released into the custody of her family.
This incident highlights the value of regular wellness exams that are part of Scenthound’s monthly wellness packages, according to franchise owner Hector Gonzalez. These examinations enable possible health problems to be identified before they pose a threat to life.
Gonzalez claims that Scenthound, which is housed at the Maplewood Shopping Plaza at 1140 N. University Drive is committed to a wellness-focused approach to canine health.
All dog breeds are guaranteed to be healthy because the word “scent” in Scenthound refers to the skin, coat, ears, nails, and teeth. No matter the breed, their “Scent Techs” are trained to provide each dog with the attention it needs, and the membership program gives dog owners the assurance that their pet is regularly taken care of, Gonzalez said.
Raskiewicz thanked the Scenthound team profusely, citing their careful attention to detail and hard work as the reason she was able to save the life of her beloved Pomeranian.
“Our goal is to provide routine, easily accessible care that keeps dogs happy and healthy,” Nami stated. “We are reminded of the significance of our work by stories like Beso’s.”
