I-95 and Copans Road in Pompano Beach closed after fuel truck rollover crash

Pompano Beach, Florida – Monday morning a fuel truck crashed in Pompano Beach. Authorities have shut down Interstate 95 in both directions, as well as Copans Road.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy, the authorities have responded to the scene of the rollover crash along the northbound lanes near Copans Road.

The closure extends between Atlantic Boulevard and Sample Road and Copans Road has been shut down underneath I-95, Investigators said.

Northbound traffic is being diverted off the Atlantic Boulevard exit, and southbound traffic is being diverted off Sample Road.

Officials urge drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

At this time deputies still haven’t released any details about the crash or whether anyone was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
