“I’ve spotted a little boy near the highway”, woman reports lost child to 911 after leaving him on the street

It is common knowledge that most parents will do everything for their children, so sometimes due to the many responsibilities and attempts to provide a better and more secure future for their children, they hire babysitters to take care of their kids while they are away from home.

That’s why you need to look carefully at the resumes of the applicants before hiring them to take care of your children, because not all babysitters are responsible and your children may end up harmed or endangered.

Such an irresponsible babysitter was arrested recently and is now facing charges of filling a false police report.

Instead of looking after the child while his parents were away on a business trip, she left him on the street and called 911 claiming she spotted a little boy alone on a street while going home in an Uber.

The 22-year-old D. Peraza was arrested and charged with filing a false police report.

Authorities in one town in Rhode Island received a call in the early morning about a lost boy near the highway.

Officers responded to the location, found the boy and took him to a local hospital for evaluation as a precaution. Doctors said the boy seemed fine, and after that, the kid was placed in the custody of the Department of Children, Youth and Families.

Police conducted a thorough investigation, and managed to identify the child after one day. Officers immediately contacted his parents, who arrived at the police headquarters in no time.

Detectives were on the verge of filing charges for neglect of care against the parents, and started questioning them.

The parents told the detectives the whole story. The parents of the boy said they had to go on a business trip and hired a babysitter to look after their son while they are away from home. The parents were shocked and could not understand how their kid ended up alone near the highway.

After a further investigation, authorities determined that the woman who reported the lost child was actually his babysitter.

The 22-year-old D. Peraza was babysitting the child and did not want to continue watching him, so she came to an idea to leave the child on the street and then report it to 911.

According to the investigation, Peraza got off the house with the child, called an Uber and left the boy alone on the street. Then she called 911 and said she spotted the boy while taking an Uber home.

Peraza was arrested and charged with filing a false police report. She may face additional charges also.

The identity of the boy’s parents as well as the boy’s age were not released.
