Man and his dog rescued after boat takes on water near Haulover Inlet

Haulover Beach, Florida – A man and his dog on a 40-ft sailing vessel took on water near the Haulover Inlet.

On Tuesday morning, approximately a mile off the Haulover Inlet, crews responded to the scene.

Both were brought to safety by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and U.S. Coast Guard.

According to U.S. Coast Guard officials, the vessel was dewatered and towed to Port Everglades.
