Menorah lighting held on Lincoln Road

Northwest Miami-Dade, Florida – In order to mark the beginning of Hanukkah, families gathered in Miami Beach and across South Florida.
A large crowd came together on Sunday afternoon on Lincoln Road and Euclid Avenue to mark the iconic street’s 20th year of Hanukkah celebrations.
At 5 p.m. at the big seashell menorah, the lighting celebration started.
Second gentleman Doug Emhoff lit the National Menorah over in the nation’s capital. Emhoff is the first Jewish spouse of a U.S. president or vice president.
The Festival of Lights is the eight-day celebration that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the second century B.C.
