New Coral Springs Commissioner Pushing For “Green” Ideas and Getting Support

Coral Springs, Florida – Can charging stations for electric cars be added to new Coral Springs construction projects?

How about creating more green space at a new downtown development?

And can Coral Springs start buying more electric-powered vehicles?

These were questions asked this week at a regular City Commission meeting by a new member of the board, Nancy Metayer, who ran for office emphasizing ideas for tackling climate change at the city level.

Elected last month, Metayer pushed for “green” ideas and policies on nearly a half-dozen items on the board agenda, from new building projects to purchase orders.
