Coral Springs, Florida – A new road construction project will get underway in downtown Coral Springs, starting this month.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, it’s planning a $3.5 million improvement project on University Drive from Sample Road to NW 28 Street.
The area includes the construction of the new Cornerstone development as well as entrances into The Walk of Coral Springs, Northwest Regional Library, and the Coral Springs Charter School.
An open house to provide information on the project is hosted by the department on Tuesday.

In October, city commissioners approved plans in support of an expansion of University Drive from NW 40 Street to Sawgrass Expressway
That project includes creating 11-foot travel lanes, seven-foot bike lanes, and a six-foot sidewalk on both sides, and is targeted to start in the fall of 2022 with completion within 18-months to two years.
