No Injuries Reported After Firefighters Quickly Put Out Fire in Coral Springs Home

No injuries were reported after a fire in Coral Springs on Thursday night; however, an investigation is underway as to the cause.

At 8:01 p.m., on March 4, a 911 call came in about a fire at the 17000 block of NW 85th Drive. According to Deputy Fire Chief Mike Moser, both Coral Springs-Parkland and Margate Fire Departments responded to the scene and put out the fire, which was primarily inside a bedroom.

Everyone was safe, he said. There was extensive smoke and fire damage, and the residents are now displaced at this time.

The initial investigation says the cause was from a lit candle on a dresser in a bedroom, but an official investigation is underway.
