Coral Springs, Florida – Veronica Pereria is a J.P. Taravella High School student who excels in both leadership roles and academics.
18-year-old Coral Springs senior Pereria serves as president of the Student Government Association (SGA) and captain of the football cheer squad.
She has a 4.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Future Health Professionals (Health Occupations Students of America-HOSA).
“As the Student Government Association’s president, I want to develop leaders and give younger members more self-assurance. “We plan a lot of school spirit events,” Pereria added.
She wants to work in the field of neuroscience. She has worked in a doctor’s office as a HOSA member. “I enjoy learning about science and medicine,” Pereria remarked.
She has participated in a number of volunteer endeavors as a Key Club member, such as keeping up the school’s courtyard. Pereria plays flag football for the Trojans as well.
Pereria aspires to attend Florida State University but has been accepted to Oklahoma State University and the University of Kentucky.
