The Coral Springs Festival of Arts & Garden Fest is in urgent need of volunteers

Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts & Garden Fest is actively seeking more last-minute sign-ups and desperately needs community volunteers for this week’s event.
On March 16 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Walk will host the 18th Annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts & Garden Fest. However, this year’s preparations have been hampered by a severe volunteer shortage.
Ten student and thirty adult volunteers are needed for traffic and parking at the Festival, which is expected to draw 30,000 visitors and generate roughly $1 million for the local economy. Service hours are attainable for students.
“Managing the influx of visitors is essential,” stated Ryan Drendel, Chair of the Festival Traffic/Safety Committee, in remarks made to Coral Springs Talk. Our traffic volunteers play a crucial role in making sure that everyone has a smooth and happy festival experience by directing attendees to off-site parking and shuttle options.
The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is appealing for volunteers at the eleventh hour and offering a special chance for nearby small businesses to help with traffic problems and other difficulties. The Festival will give them important time at a booth to display their services to thousands of people in exchange for their volunteerism.
The arrangement appears to be a no-brainer for all parties involved, according to Terri Poehler, a longtime Coral Springs resident, Keller Williams Realtor, and the Festival’s coordinator for adult volunteers. She tells Coral Springs Talk, “It’s a win-win situation because small businesses gain invaluable exposure by participating in our festival, and in return, their volunteer hours help us create a successful event.”
The significance of the Festival is highlighted by Gillian Johnson, Director of Marketing at Amera, who also highlighted the city’s high priority for its success.
“The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is a year-long labor of love, not just an event. This Festival, which is more than simply a pleasant weekend—it’s a crucial cultural hub of our community—is painstakingly planned by our executive board and more than 30 committee members.
Teen Volunteer Coordinator Gillian Johnson can be reached by phone at 954-328-9273 or by email at gillian@ameracorporation.com by any teenager interested in volunteering at the event.
Adults who are interested in volunteering can get in touch with the adult volunteer coordinator, Terri Poehler, at 954-294-3937 or terripoehler@gmail.com.
