Visitors to Broward County Public Schools in Coral Springs and elsewhere no longer required to wear face masks

Coral Springs, Florida – Face masks are not obligatory for visitors to Broward County Public Schools in Coral Springs and across the county.

According to the school district, since infection rates continue declining in the region, visitors, as well as vendors, are “strongly encouraged to wear face coverings while indoors in any district school, facility or vehicle, as are district students and employees,” but they are no longer required to.

New Covid-19 cases went down by 22 percent in Florida during the past week and the positivity rate dropped to its lowest level since Christmas, according to the state’s most updated coronavirus report.

Last week, the state reported 103,022 new cases, a 22 percent drop from a week earlier and almost half the cases reported two weeks ago, based on the data.
