Coral Springs, Florida – Democratic leaders in the area are asking the public to watch the much-awaited first debate between former president Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris live and support Harris.
On Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a “Harris for President Debate Watch Party” at Paragon Theaters, which are housed inside The Plaza at Coral Springs II, 770 Riverside Drive.
The watch party will be hosted by a collaboration of local Democratic leaders and groups. Representatives from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Democratic Club, the Greater Pompano Beach Democratic Club, the Coral Springs-Parkland Democratic Club, and Coral Springs Commissioner Joshua Simmons are among the notable guests.
During the evening of debate topics, which are expected to include discussing Trump and Harris’s campaign platforms, their prior accomplishments and challenges, and, of course, some unforeseen fireworks that are routine for presidential debates but even more anticipated with Trump on stage, the event provides local Democrats with an opportunity to watch the debate and rally behind Vice President Harris.
