Woman rescued by good Samaritan after boat catches fire in Boot Key Harbor near Marathon

Marathon, Florida – A good Samaritan rescued a woman after a boat caught fire near Marathon.

According to officials, the sailboat was engulfed by flames in Boot Key Harbor.

A boat generator started leaking gas and caught fire on Thursday, investigators said.

A woman aboard the 36-foot vessel jumped overboard.

She was picked up by a good Samaritan and taken to the hospital with minor burns.
