The home is located at Southwest 10th Street and 13th Court and has been deemed a historic site by Miami’s Historic and Environmental Preservation Board.
According to officials, several Miami Fire Rescue units controlled the flames well into the morning but finally got the fire out at approximately 10:30 a.m. Heavy smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.
