Friday 2,338 more COVID-19 cases in Florida

Florida – An increase of 2,338 COVID-19 cases Friday and 41 more resident deaths connected to the virus, Florida’s health department say.
Miami-Dade County has now passed 500,000 cases of the virus.
According to latest health department data Florida has now verified 2,320,818 COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began.
The number of resident deaths in Florida tied to COVID-19 is 36,774 and another 738 non-residents have died in the state with COVID, authorities reported.
Coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past day include 12 in Miami-Dade County, 2 in Broward County and 2 in Palm Beach County.
There have been 94,930 resident hospitalizations attributed to the novel coronavirus in the state.
The number of people who have received COVID-19 vaccines in Florida is 10,213,280 people, with 8,187,878 people in the state fully vaccinated.
The statewide positivity rate testing was 3.06%.
