Coral Springs High School girls wrestling places second at districts and wins county title

Coral Springs, Florida – This past weekend marked the continuation of the wrestling season, with a wrestler from Coral Springs High School finishing first for the boys’ team and the girls’ team claiming first place.
Breana Harris and Payton Moyer each finished second, while Abigail Moyer, Nylah Smith, and Maryaliz Bernardina of the Lady Colts each took first place. Beneisha Cherubin and Tiffany To came in fourth. After that, they finished with 130 points, 62 points behind Wellington Community High School, and took second place at the District Championship.
The Coral Springs High School boys’ team’s Shai Keery won first place. J’Vieier Roemus, who is sixth in the state, finished second, and the Colts finished sixth overall. Tyler Green finished ninth, Alex Haley and Jaylan Brown each finished fifth, and Jerrod Samuels finished fourth.
As a team, J.P. Taravella placed seventh, followed by Lucas Siqueira in fourth, Victor Dixon and Jacob Rosen in third. Caden Ankele and Devin Przchodny finished seventh and Enzo Amad sixth. Coral Springs Charter’s leader, Preston Lindsay, finished second on his own. The Panthers came in 16th overall, and Elijah Perez finished in fourth.
With the State Tournament beginning on March 6, these three teams will now compete in the Districts and Regionals this month.
