A girl in Coral Springs with stage 4 cancer is given free tickets to a Taylor Swift concert

Coral Springs, Florida – A Broward Health pharmacy technician gave an 8-year-old Coral Springs girl who has severe cancer the surprise of a lifetime on Tuesday by giving her two tickets to a Taylor Swift concert.
At a surprise party at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Emoree Smith, a juvenile oncology patient receiving weekly chemotherapy treatments at the facility, was given the tickets to the October Eras Tour performance at Hard Rock Stadium.
The tickets were given to Emoree by Meena Daljitsingh, a pharmacy worker at Broward Health Medical Center, and her daughter, Crystal Daljitsingh.
At the end of July, Broward Health announced that Emoree, a massive Swiftie, had been diagnosed with stage four alveolar metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS). According to a spokesman, ARMS affects a particular kind of sarcoma that is made up of cells that normally grow into skeletal muscles.
Tuesday morning, hospital employees gathered in a hallway to celebrate Emoree’s arrival. She was given concert tickets and gifts with a Taylor Swift theme, and there was music, balloons, and merchandise featuring Swiftie necklaces and glasses.
Giving the tickets to Emoree, according to $500 buyer Crystal Daljitsingh, was a “wonderful” experience that made the young child cry and her mother, Rashonda Coney, cry.
“I’m fairly certain that Emoree will require an hour to unwind a little,” stated Crystal Daljitsingh. “And it will have a huge impact on her when she realizes she’s actually going to a Taylor Swift concert.”
Meena Daljitsingh, a pharmacy technician and mother of Crystal Daljitsingh, expressed her happiness at having set up Emoree and her mother to receive the tickets as “more than happy.”
“Why not, if you can make someone’s day better?” she exclaimed.
