Sawgrass Middle School Athletics Success: Soccer Wins Division Champion, Cross Country Impresses

Coral Springs, Florida – Sawgrass Middle School’s cross-country team’s impressive runs and the success of its soccer squad will make an impression this autumn.
The boys’ soccer team’s Division Championship before their commanding victory over Bair Middle School on Friday marked the culmination of an amazing regular season.
After going undefeated in the regular season, the Gators defeated the opposition 8-0 in their playoff match.
On Monday, October 7, they will play Pompano Beach Middle School one more.
In addition, the Bengals defeated Lauderdale Middle School in their first game and won their division championship.
Azariah Israel and Massimo Bermudez placed in the top 35 while Sawgrass Middle School finished eighth in the cross country competition held by the Northwest Area Schools XC Championship.
Eighth place went to the girls’ team, with Ayakamakeida Brissett setting the fastest time. Next to finish were Sasha Mello, Mahavven Bhuiyan, and Ivanka Dao.
