Latest COVID-19 numbers: Florida cases top 48,600 as deaths eclipse 2,100
There are now more than 48,600 reported cases of the coronavirus in Florida, with 2,144 deaths.
As of 11 a.m., Thursday, the Florida Department of Health reported 48,675 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, an increase of 1,204 from yesterday’s update.
There are now 16,367 confirmed cases in Miami-Dade and 6,514 cases in Broward.
The total number of cases in Palm Beach County has now reached 4,968, and 100 cases have been reported in Monroe County.
Health officials also reported 8,946 hospital admissions statewide.
