Man accidentally shoots himself at Coral Springs home

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police say they were initially searching for a shooter Wednesday morning after a shooting was reported at a home in the area of Northwest 108th Way and 107th Avenue, off Coral Springs Drive and Westview Drive.
Sky 10 was above the scene around 7:45 a.m. as there was a heavy police presence in the area.
But police said they later discovered that the victim had actually accidentally shot himself in the leg and lied about it.
Police said a separate incident was also reported in the area regarding an attempted abduction.
But police said that incident turned out to be a girl who stole her sister’s car and then also lied about it.
