Man Arrested After Slapping, Then Threatening To Hit Wife With ‘Blessed’ Sign April 29, 2021 by Isaac Ray No Comments

After slapping his wife while holding a baby and threatening to beat her with a sign, a Coral Springs man was arrested for domestic battery.
On April 26, the Coral Springs Police Department responded to a domestic battery call. As officers arrived at the residence, they encountered a victim who claimed her husband had assaulted her while holding their seven-month-old child.
According to the report, the victim told officers an argument began between her husband, later identified as Homel Ciceron, 40, and herself when she questioned him about mail addressed to another female being delivered to their home. The victim said the argument turned violent after Ciceron became irate that she was questioning whether he was in a relationship with the woman.
The report said Ciceron slapped the victim in the face while she was holding their seven-month-old child, broke a table, and “ran over” a changing table. The victim also told officers Ciceron hit her so hard her face was still hot. Officers noted in the report there did not seem to be any apparent injuries to the victim.
After slapping her, the victim told officers Ciceron pulled a sign off the wall that read “Blessed” and threatened to beat her with it. She said he instead slammed down the sign and broke it. Officers witnessed debris all over the home consistent with the victim’s story, including the broken sign and tables.
After speaking to the victim, officers interviewed Ciceron. He admitted to officers he had damaged property in the home but denied slapping the victim or otherwise physically assaulting her.
