Navy combat ship stranded in Guantanamo Bay following a COVID outbreak
Miami, Florida – A Navy combat ship is forced to remain in port in Cuba due to a COVID outbreak.
Aboard the ship at naval station Guantanamo Bay, an unspecified number of the USS Milwaukee’s crew is in isolation.
Navy officials have not determined whether the highly-transmissible omicron variant is to blame.
According to a Navy spokesperson, all 105 crew members were fully immunized but did not mention how many are currently infected.
