Coral Springs’ First Church is looking for volunteers for its annual “Bethlehem Revisited” event

Coral Springs, Florida – For its yearly Bethlehem Revisited program, the First Church of Coral Springs is looking for volunteers.
More than 400 volunteers are needed annually to help run the interactive experience, which recreates the historic city of Bethlehem as it could have looked more than 2,000 years ago.
Help is desperately needed for a variety of roles, both costumed and non-costumed. Among other things, volunteers can help with traffic control, concessions, store management, and Roman military roles.
Signing up is possible at Bethlehem Revisited Event Details or by sending an email to bethlehemrvisited25@gmail.com.
Bethlehem Revisited will be held at the First Church of Coral Springs, located at 8650 W Sample Road, for five nights, from Friday, December 13, to Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Hours vary by day:
On December 13, 16, and 17, (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m.
December 14 and 15, Saturday and Sunday: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A finely detailed depiction of Bethlehem, including a fortified city built out of more than 30,000 square feet of lumber, is part of the event. Visitors can interact with actors dressed as shepherds and other villagers, explore a marketplace from the first century, and even sign a historical census. A poignant stable image that represents the birth of Christ marks the journey’s conclusion.
All ages are welcome, and admission to Bethlehem Revisited is free. Donations are kindly accepted at the conclusion of the trip to help maintain this local custom.
Contact the First Church of Coral Springs at 954-752-0333 or go to their website at First Church for further details.
