Gun Flashed, Driver Arrested, And Drugs Found In Alleged Coral Springs Road Rage Incident

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – An alleged dispute between two drivers on Wiles Road in Coral Springs ended Saturday with one of the drivers flashing a gun and police arresting him, a police report said.
The incident happened shortly before 2 p.m. as the two drivers turned onto westbound Wiles Road from State Road 7, drove aggressively, and exchanged hand gestures, followed by one of the drivers pointing a gun at the other driver as they continued driving, the report said.
The driver who had the gun pointed at him spotted a police officer on Wiles Road and pulled his car in front of the driver with the gun to get the officer’s attention, the report said.
The officer arrested Stephan Smith, 24, of Huntsville, AL, after spotting his gun inside his car.
In Smith’s car, police also found marijuana and determined he was going to sell the drugs, the report said.
Smith was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of THC and cannabis.
