Man shot in Sweetwater, police searching for a gunman

Sweetwater, Florida – Sweetwater police are searching for a gunman after a man was shot.
Thursday afternoon police received reports of shots fired on Southwest 108th Avenue and 5th Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with shot wounds, but there were no signs of the shooter.
According to the witnesses, a suspect left the area with a white Mercedes.
Police say they were able to locate the car but quickly lost sight of it.
The car was then found by Miami-Dade County police near the area of Northwest 136th Place and 9th Street, but there were no signs of the driver.
At the scene of the shooting, residents watched as paramedics treated the victim before being transported to Kendall Regional Medical Center.
