Monthly All-Ages Chess Meet-Up to be held in Coral Springs at a new location

Coral Springs, Florida – The Parks and Recreation Department hosts a monthly all-ages chess tournament where rooks and kings alike are welcome to make their moves.
The Coral Springs Gymnasium will host the “Open Play Chess” gathering. It will provide chess players of all abilities with the chance to play informal games on certain Wednesdays all year long.
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, is when the next meeting is planned.
Notably, a certified coach from the National Scholastic of Chess Foundation will now teach during the first session of every month. This update is meant to help novices hone their abilities while providing experienced players with the opportunity to improve their tactics.
Chess enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to attend; there is no need to register in advance, and admission is free.

– Additional sessions through April 2025
