Public Covid-19 Testing Site Closed At Coral Springs Publix

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The free public Covid-19 testing site at the Publix Plaza at Sample Road and Coral Ridge Drive has closed.
This leaves just one public testing site in Coral Springs – at Mullins Hall in Mullins Park – as the coronavirus numbers are going up in South Florida and across the nation.
The state-run site at Publix closed Saturday at 5 pm, said Alexander Falcone, director of emergency management, city security, and special events for the city of Coral Springs.
The site operating at Mullins Hall continues offering testing to residents Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, he said.
Falcone said the city is looking at opportunities for another testing site to open in Coral Springs but for now there are no plans for another site.
“We do understand that, as cases rise, so to does the demand for testing. Our site at Mullins has the capability to handle additional testing volume if needed,” Falcone said in an email.
Falcone added there are other testing options in Coral Springs through private healthcare centers.
