Tunie’s Market closing its store in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – Tunie’s Market is closing its store in Coral Springs where it has had a retail presence for 29 years.
The market is known for its wide selection of vitamins and supplements.
According to the owner of the store, Taylor Hamilton, posted on social media late Monday that the 12,000-square-foot store at 5651 Coral Ridge Drive will close in February.
“It’s with a heavy heart we are announcing that Tunies will be closing its retail store next month,” the post said. “Tunies has been a fixture in the Coral Springs and Parkland community since 1993.”
The store was hit hard by the pandemic as well as by other local retail and online competitors in recent years.
A new management team led by Dave Weishaus and his wife, Audra Walter, tried to revive the store with specials, organic pet food, and a gardening section with fruits and vegetables grown at nearby Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The final line in Tunie’s social media post: “Thank you again for embracing us as your local health food store for the last 3 decades!”
The store will continue to sell vitamins and supplements online at Tunies.com.
