U.S. Post Office will hire 1,000 employees for holiday season

The U.S. Postal Service in South Florida will be hiring 1,000 employees for the holiday season. Successful applicants will work at one of four mail processing and distribution centers in Miami, Opa-locka or West Palm Beach Nov. 16, 2020 through Jan. 3, 2021.
The positions include postal support employee and mail processing clerk [$18.15 per hour] and mail handler assistant [$16.55 per hour]. Visit usps.com/employment to apply. Click on “Search Now and Apply” and select “Florida” to view current openings.
Applications for postal support employee and mail processing clerk will be accepted Sept. 7 to 10 and mail handler assistant will be accepted Sept. 14 to 17.
Applicants must be 18 at the time of appointment or 16 with a high school diploma, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a recent employment history and be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and medical assessment.
