30-year-old man captured busting Miami-Dade fire truck with baseball bat
On Sunday a 30-year-old man was captured busting a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck’s windshield with a baseball bat. Officials reported he has been arrested.
According to the police report, the incident happened at the intersection of Southwest 42nd Avenue and Southwest 9th Street when Jesus Santana Jardines from Palmento Bay went to his Porsche, grabbed the metal bat and swung it at the truck’s front windshield.
A witness has captured with cell phone Jardines hitting the truck and sent the video to the police. Later Jardines was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the incident.
The report said, no firefighters were injured but it cost more than $4,000 to fix the windshield. The report didn’t say the reason about Jardines went after the truck.
On Monday the court gave Jardines $5,000 bond on the criminal mischief charge.
