Join Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek for a day of community, service, and discovery at their Open House and Mitzvah Day

Coral Springs, Florida – The Tamarac congregation known as Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek (TBTST) is getting ready to reveal its doors to the community in a spectacular manner.
At its location at 5700 NW 94th Avenue, the synagogue will be holding a special Open House and Mitzvah Day on Sunday, August 18, 2024, beginning at ten in the morning and continuing until thirteen in the afternoon.
The purpose of this event is to provide an inside peek into the dynamic life and inclusive attitude of TBTST, and it is aimed to welcome everyone from Broward County and beyond.
A celebration of community and service, this event is more than simply an open house; it is a celebration of our community. With its origins in the Jewish commandment found in Leviticus 19:18, which states, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” TBTST is committed to putting this idea into practice through a variety of mitzvahs, which are programs that involve performing good actions.
In addition to accepting Jews of all origins, interfaith families, and LGBTQ families with open hearts and open doors, the synagogue takes great satisfaction in being an egalitarian and inclusive constituent of the Conservative tradition.
The Open House will provide attendees with the opportunity to take a tour of the stunning facilities and sanctuary, as well as meet with members of the TBTST clergy, leadership, and educators, and learn about the various membership choices available.
There are many different programs that are available at the synagogue, such as services on the High Holy Day and possibilities for adult education. Additionally, the Educational Directors of TBTST will be available to assist with school registration and provide information regarding the Early Childhood Center, the Religious School, and the Youth Group. They will also be provided with information regarding the Youth Group.
However, the event is not limited to merely exploratory and informative activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to actively participate in community service through one of the many mitzvah projects that will be available throughout the day.
Guests are able to:
– Donate blood at the Big Red Bus.
– Make pet chews for the Humane Society of Broward County.
– Bring pets to the Humane Society of Broward County Van for free vaccinations.
– Donate shoes and sneakers for Women in Distress of South Florida.
– Prepare PBJ sandwiches for Lifenet serving Families/Broward Partnership for the Homeless.
– Help clean up 94th Avenue.
– Create High Holiday cards and donate clothing for the Sandy Nininger Veterans Nursing Home.
– Assist children in making button flowers for the Daniel Cantor Center and the Veterans Nursing Home.
These activities embody the spirit of TBTST’s commitment to community outreach and helping those in need. It’s a perfect opportunity for individuals and families to engage in meaningful service while connecting with others in the community.
