Coral Springs athletes qualify for regional competitions in cross-country, swimming, and golf

Coral Springs, Florida – In a number of sports, the playoffs have begun, and Coral Springs athletes are participating in the District Tournament.
On Monday, Coral Springs Charter performed at the Coral Springs Country Club. Brandon Moll finished in 28th place with the highest score of 97. Jordan Herman, Troy Sova, Edward Canard, and Floyd Harris joined him. For the girls, Natalie Conte finished in 18th place. Isabella Goodman came up two places behind.
Bianca Gibbs, the BCAA Champion, finished in second place with a score of 75, followed by Shannon Glynn, who finished third, one shot behind Gibbs. With a 77 and a seventh-place finish, Carter Brooks led the boys’ squad. With an 84, Noah Rosen finished 16th, followed by Sebastian Ortiz and Bradley Pryor.
The boys and girls from Coral Glades qualified for the Regionals with their 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle teams. Galen Tortorella and Benjamin Denevi each qualified for two individual events, while BCAA champion Ethan Persten put up another outstanding effort and qualified in several events. Nikki Harrypersad will compete in two races for the girls.
Zane Samms and Zac Bricher entered the event as individuals, while J.P. Taravella qualified for two relays. The girls team qualified for three relays, and Lenin Hamilton and Michael Michalek will also compete at the regional level. Valentina Ordonez received a spot in one race, while Mariana Sanchez and Rawani Ceballos earned spots in two.
Sammy Carvajal earned a spot at Coral Springs High School by competing in the 100-yard breaststroke and freestyle events. Additionally, the Colts’ senior day was postponed. Nevertheless, during their practice on October 25, they were able to identify Titus Johnson, Ashley Made-Rosas, James Defreitas, Joshua Demetrius, Ashley Made-Rosas, Peter Phan, Haozhen Yuon, and Charles Kramer.
Alejandra Gil-Restrepo headed Coral Springs Charter’s girls’ team, which qualified in all three relays, and she took first place in the 500-yard freestyle. Mariana Montes, Addison Palumbo, Alejandra Gil Reestrepo, Amanda Palumbo, Claire O’Connor, Molly Chaison, Sam Springer, Mariana Montes, Amanda Robins, and Anabel Holt will all be attending regionals with her.
In addition, the boys qualified for three relays, with Anthony Palumbo winning the 100-yard backstroke and John Albornoz winning the 200-yard IM.
Regionals are the destination for Brian Hamilton, Christopher Chaison, Sebastian Rincon Villegas, Gavin Mello, Sebastian Rincon-Villegas, Juan Lopez, Will Wizst, and Anthony Palumbo.
At South Country Regional Park, the J.P. Taravella boys’ team won the cross-country competition. Although Akeem Beckford finished 13th and Elijas Vessels finished 11th, Scardy Fils was the only Trojan to rank in the top ten. In the top 25, Craig Dennis and Dominic Martinez were followed by Saul Flores, Akeil Kidd, JahRee Pierre, Nakhai Reid, and Ali Mustafa.
Raquel Arne placed ninth on her own, and the girls’ team finished in ninth place. Meital Pavolotzky, Giavanna Lionelli, Camille Castillo, and 27 Olivia Noel ran with her.
In the Coral Springs High School boys’ race, Jeffrey Belizaire won first place, and the team finished sixth. Marcus Gentilhomme finished 16th, and Matthew Wykpisz came in fourth. Olivia Higgins led the girls, who finished ninth, behind runners Tyler Cline, Magnus Berta, and David Doreus. Lydia Gentilhomme, Destinee Cole, Natalia Cuevas, and Gabriella Gentilhomme finished in 21st position.
With Aaron Hilaire, Jordan Blaise, Joel Harrigan, Kai Segui, Quincy Ocasio, and Evan Hall, the Coral Glades boys team finished in fifteenth place. Mariana Ortega, Zariya Louis-Jeune, Angel Sanon, Emmie Guzman, and Maya Frias finished ahead of the females in 12th place.
In a different district race, Coral Springs Charter also performed admirably, as the girls placed fourth. Lily Richardson, Cecilia Kozlowski, Alyson Thomas, Sydney McDougall, Mackenzie Maniscalso, Hailey Lockwitz, Taylor Hartley, Brooke Schwartz, and Anabella Thornberry finished third, followed by Kendall Parrott.
Lucas Werth recorded the best time, and the lads finished in eleventh place. Alongside Austin Stewart, Brandon Martinez, Tommy Foster, Shaun Blum, Shivam Rangoo Mason Grech, Cole Wollenberg, and Beylian De Jesus, Jordan Head was also impressed.
