Popeyes fast-food chain restaurant moving forward with plans to open in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen plans to open at Cypress Run Marketplace in Coral Springs.
According to the plans, the fast-food chain restaurant is moving forward in plans to be constructed in an underutilized parking area of the plaza where the Walmart Neighborhood Market is anchored.
The company is asking the city for zoning permission to open a drive-thru and the restaurant in the plaza at West Atlantic Boulevard and Coral Springs Drive.
Popeyes is seeking approvals from the city’s planning and zoning board and city commission for a “special exception” for the drive-thru as well as a “conditional use” for the restaurant.
As part of the company’s plans, the chain is proposing to add additional parking spaces to accommodate for the small reduction in parking created by the addition of the new building, which would have a pick-up window on the east side and offer indoor and patio seating.
According to the board’s agenda, the planning and zoning board is expected to review Popeye’s request on Monday.
