Some residents will soon experience changes in pickup for bulk and yard waste
Coral Springs, Florida – Starting next Monday, the city’s waste hauler recently announced some Coral Springs residents will experience a change in pickup days for bulk and yard waste items.
Waste Pro said in a Sept. 15 letter to residents that the company is expanding collection days.
According to the company, additional routes are added and servicing bulk picks up in Coral Springs five days a week, versus the previous three days a week schedule.
“This will help us minimize the number of incomplete routes and provide us additional time to service our fleet,” the company said in the letter.
Blue cart and green cart collection days will remain the same, Waste Pro said.
The company also said residents affected by the changes can look at maps and additional information here: www.wasteprousa.com/coral-springs.
Residents can call 954-633-2530 for more information.
The company didn’t provide any more information on the changes.
Records show that more than 80 communities in Coral Springs were missed for trash pickup during one three-week period in July. As part of the contract with the city, though, Waste Pro was allowed to pick up trash the next day by 12 pm when missing neighborhoods or else face administrative fees.
In August, top managers from Waste Pro appeared at a City Commission meeting and promised to improve trash services.
