New Play Area Coming to Coral Square Mall

Coral Springs, Florida – A new play area will be installed at Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs next spring.
According to the mall’s general manager, Melisa Wicker, the new 1,600-square-foot interactive area – called PLAY – will replace the current play area near the entrance to Kohl’s.
“As a community destination for families in Coral Springs, it’s important that Coral Square continues to evolve by developing a new, progressive area for young visitors to create special memories,” Wicker said in a statement.
Children will be “immersed in a multi-sensory experience with interactive technology, educational elements, and active play by using their imaginations to create their own adventures,” she said.
It’s the latest improvement at the 120-store, 962,000-square-foot mall aimed at making it more family-friendly and inviting to visitors.
According to Wicker, starting this week, the mall’s entire interior as well as three exterior entrances will be painted. The new play area will have soft seating and charging stations, she said. It will replace the existing play area, which was built about 20 years ago.
Installing PLAY will take about two months during which time the play area will be closed. “Whether guests need a break from a busy day of shopping or visit specifically to explore PLAY, our hope is that children will enjoy a fun, interactive experience while discovering new ideas and developing their creativity,” she said in the statement.
