A man in custody after allegedly shooting at BSO Deputies
Pompano Beach, Florida – After firing shots at several Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies late Thursday night in Pompano Beach, a man is facing charges.
Around 10 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from an employee saying that a customer walked in with a gun, deputies arrived at the Valero gas station located off North Federal Highway.
According to the employee, the man, later identified as 34-year-old Justin Crawford, appeared to be frightened and may have been on drugs.
Before he was eventually taken into custody without incident, Crawford began shooting at deputies. BSO deputies reportedly did not return fire due to the number of people in the area. No deputies were injured.
Later, Crawford was booked into jail on multiple attempted murder charges.
