Come to the Coral Springs re-election fundraiser for school board member Debbi Hixon.

Coral Springs, Florida – A member of the Broward County School Board is looking for assistance with her reelection campaign.
On Monday, June 24, Debbi Hixon’s re-election fundraiser for the Broward County School Board Seat 9 will take place at BJ’s Restaurant from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Hixon will be accompanied by a number of local representatives and supporters as she seeks to continue serving on the school board.
Hixon has a strong personal stake in improving and securing the educational environment for kids in the Broward County school system. She sadly lost Chris Hixon, her husband, in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas tragedy in 2018. That day, he was the athletic director who hurried inside the building in an attempt to apprehend the gunman.
State Representatives Dan Daley and Christine Hunschofsky, as well as State Senator Tina Polsky, are invited guests. Commissioners Nancy Metayer Bowen, Joshua Simmons, and Joy Carter, along with Vice Mayors Shawn and Kerry Cerra, are present at the Coral Springs meeting.
Parkland Mayor Rich Walker, Vice Mayor Jordan Isrow, and Parkland Commissioners Simeon Brier and Ken Cutler are expected to attend, in addition to representatives from Coral Springs.
Josh Rydell, a commissioner for Coconut Creek, and Jeff Wasserman will also draw attention to the strong backing for Hixon’s reelection campaign.
Supporters may find out more about Hixon’s campaign at www.ReElectDebbiHixonforSchoolBoard.com and are encouraged to RSVP for the event at https://rsvp.debbihixon.com/rsvp.
Hixon started her career in school in 1989 as a science teacher and swim coach at Blanche Ely High School. She was first elected in November 2020. In 1994, she transferred to South Broward High School.
Her campaign platform as a board member has focused on her commitment to making sure the district offers all children the tools and assistance they need to succeed and be ready for their futures.
