Coral Springs High School Baseball Scores Season-High 20 Runs in Win
The Coral Springs High School baseball team earned their most lopsided win of the year following their 20-0 victory over Dillard High School Tuesday night.
The game lasted only four innings due to the Colts scoring 20 runs as Hunter Stolov, and Ian Pearson retired all 12 hitters they faced while striking out 11 of them.
Offensively, Craig Dumas and Christian Perez combined to drive in ten runs. Coral Springs did it without the long ball as they had 16 hits and four of them going for extra bases.
Tyler Federman led all Colts with three hits, while Alex Christmas and Ross Lazar each had a pair. Jordan Brown recorded a triple, and Victor Velasquez knocked in two runs.
The win improves their record to 5-0 as they have now outscored their opponents 56-2 in their five games.
Up next, they will face a tough test as they host Coral Springs Charter Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. The Panthers are a young team and have had success winning four of their first seven games.
