Coral Springs High School’s graduation rate has noticeably increased
Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs High School is one of five high schools in Broward County that saw a three percentage point rise in graduation rates for the 2023–2024 academic year.
According to recent state data, the school’s graduation rate increased from 95.1% in 2023 to 98.1% in 2024.
According to the data, other high schools that served Coral Springs pupils fared as follows in 2024:
-Coral Glades High: 97.3%, slightly down from 97.9% in 2023
-J.P. Taravella High: 93.9%, an increase from 93.5% in 2023
-Marjory Stoneman Douglas High: 99%, up from 98.5% in 2023
Broward County Public Schools continues to see growth in the Federal Graduation Rates for the 2023–2024 school year, which were issued by the Florida Department of Education on Friday.
In 2024, the District’s overall Federal Graduation Rate increased from 88.7% in 2023 to 89%. Traditional high schools, centers, and charter schools are all included in that rate.
The typical high school graduation percentage in the county only went raised from 95.5% in 2023 to 96.2%. Charter schools and centers are not included in these numbers.
“It is crucial that our students graduate from high school with the skills, resources, and academic groundwork necessary to succeed in their post-secondary endeavors,” stated BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn in a statement. “We should be proud of the significant growth at many of our high schools.”
