Coral Springs may be getting its second medical marijuana dispensary
Coral Springs, Florida – A company need approval from city commissioners to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Coral Springs
According to the city’s planning and zoning department, Trulieve, one of the nation’s largest marijuana dispensaries, has asked the city for permission to open at 10400 West Atlantic Boulevard.
Under a city requirement approved in 2019, medical marijuana facilities are allowed to operate in the city as long as they meet strict zoning and operations requirements and approved by the commission.
According to the planning and zoning department, the company has asked the city for permission to operate a medical marijuana dispensing facility in the city’s community business zoning district.
The other medical marijuana dispensary in Coral Springs is Fluent at 1406 North University Drive.
Trulieve sells products to lessen seizures, muscle spasms, pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and other symptoms associated with serious medical conditions including cancer.
It’s low-THC/CBD products are available for patients who need non-euphoric care. THC is the psychoactive chemical that, at higher levels, defines marijuana.
Trulieve has more than 80 dispensaries across the nation, including Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, and Delray Beach.
