Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs residents should keep warm jackets and sweaters handy, according to the National Weather Service forecasters.

As another cold front moves through later this week, temperatures in South Florida will drop into the 50s and even into the 30s and 40s near Lake Okeechobee, so it’s not time to put them away just yet.

The weather service predicts that the low temperatures will drop into the mid-to-upper- 50s into the morning hours after a gloomy and rainy Tuesday that kept the high temperatures in the low-70s.

On Wednesday, another cold front will arrive with strong northerly winds, and the sun will still be having trouble emerging. Forecasts are for mostly overcast skies, sporadic showers of rain, and highs in the low 70s.

Early Thursday morning lows are predicted to drop into the lower 50s as more cold air moves across the region. According to the weather service, the high could reach 69 degrees.

According to the meteorological service, Friday morning will be the coldest evening the Southeast metro area will experience, with highs close to 60 degrees and temperatures in the mid-40s.

The temperature will remain cool on Saturday, peaking at 69 degrees and falling to 60 degrees.

According to the weather service, a warming trend will then return South Florida’s temperatures to more seasonal levels.
