Coral Springs woman accused of prostitution, money laundering in Tamarac
Coral Springs, Florida – According to a police report, last week, a 44-year-old Heron Bay resident in Coral Springs was arrested after investigators learned she was allegedly making more than $19,000 a month working as a prostitute out of a Tamarac condo.
Beibei Zhang, who is from China, faces charges of fraud-money laundering, and prostitution.
According to a police report, Zhang was taken into custody through the Broward Sheriff’s Office Money Laundering Task Force after an undercover sting determined she did a sexual act in her apartment for $160.
Investigators determined she was involved in prostitution since February at the condo in the 8300 block of Sands Points Boulevard in Tamarac, the report said.
According to the report, she was seeing five to seven customers a day, working Monday through Friday from early morning to late afternoon.
She advertised her services on many websites including adultsearch.com.
Zhang brought in more than $100,000 in illegally earned cash, avoiding current transaction reporting requirements, at financial systems, including TD Bank and Truist Bank, according to the arrest report. Based on six customers a day, she earned at least $4,800 a week or more than $19,000 a month, the report said.
Authorities arrested her on Aug. 29 at Truist Bank at 6210 Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs, the report said.
She was released from Broward County Jail on $20,000 in bonds for both charges, records show.
