For the first time since 2016, the Coral Glades Marching Band receives a consistently high rating at MPA

Coral Springs, Florida – On October 19, at Cypress Bay High School, the Coral Glades High School marching band celebrated receiving a straight superior rating at the Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Music Performance Assessment (MPA).
The Jaguars marching band achieved the highest rating attainable for the first time since 2016, according to band director Alexander Sanchez. The band is judged on its percussion, auxiliaries, visual appeal, and musical performance.
Sanchez stated, “We are seeing rewards for all the work we have been putting in over the years,” and they anticipate further success this season.
The Jaguars will play in the Florida Marching Band Championships at John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres on November 16 after competing at Park Vista High School in Boynton Beach on November 2.
The band’s achievements make sophomore drum major Jasmin Alarcon proud. Receiving a straight superior rating was satisfying. It indicates that all of our efforts have been fruitful,” she remarked.
