Lauderhill Police still investigating after two girls bodies found in a canal
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – On Tuesday Lauderhill police found the bodies of two girls in the same canal, hours apart.
According to detectives, on Wednesday morning the girls are still not positively identified and it is still not determined if both cases are connected. Police said the girls were between the ages of 10 to 13.
The first girl was spotted wearing jean shorts and a grey shirt with rainbow lettering. “When we come out, we see the little girl floating in the water,” a person who lives in the neighborhood said.
According to Loanna Jones who saw the second girl’s body in her neighborhood canal on Tuesday night “Before 8 o’clock last night, one of the neighbors saw something floating in the water, and it was a little girl, a little baby,”. When the girl was found in the canal, she was wearing flower pajamas.
According to police, two girls were never reported missing and detectives are waiting on the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
